Union Station reopens, RTD routes resume after metro Denver ‘No Kings’ protests

Denver’s Union Station reopened Saturday afternoon and Regional Transportation District bus and light rail lines started running again after widespread closures during metro-area “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump’s policies.
RTD initially closed the station and suspended public transit in the area because of safety concerns and in coordination with Denver police, spokesperson Pauline Haberman said. Union Station was reopen as of 5:40 p.m.
Closures and detours are being cleared on RTD’s trip planner as routes resume service, Haberman said.
