Union Station closed, RTD routes suspended by metro Denver ‘No Kings’ protests
Dozens of Regional Transportation District routes were detoured or delayed throughout metro Denver on Saturday as thousands of Coloradans gathered for "No Kings" protests.

Denver’s Union Station was closed Saturday afternoon to all Regional Transportation District traffic, and dozens of other bus and light rail lines were suspended or detoured throughout the metro area as thousands of Coloradans marched downtown for “No Kings” protests against President Donald Trump’s policies.
RTD closed the station and suspended public transit in the area because of safety concerns and in coordination with Denver police, spokesperson Pauline Haberman said.
“There just isn’t going to be transit until we are given the all clear,” she said. “We cannot safely run at this point. As soon as we’re able to safely reopen, we will reopen.”
A Line trains will turn around at the 38th/Blake station and B and G line trains will turn around at the 41st/Fox station, RTD officials said in a service alert.
Some or all of the E, H, D, N and W lines are suspended because of the protests.
Updated service alerts will be posted on RTD’s trip planner.
This is a developing story and may be updated.
