At 618 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of Vona, or 12 miles southwest of Stratton, moving southeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Storm chaser reports 1.75 inch hail accumulating 3 to 4 inches deep and estimated 60 MPH winds south of Seibert at 6 PM MT. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Kit Carson County.
