The driver was cited for careless driving causing bodily injury.

The driver in a crash along Interstate 25 near Mead that closed the roadway for 11 hours on May 29 appeared to be drowsy, according to a Colorado State Patrol crash report.
The report doesn’t specify whether the southbound driver was asleep or fatigued in the crash that happened at about 3:10 a.m. between exit 243 at Mead and southbound exit 250 at Berthoud.
The driver was cited for careless driving causing bodily injury, which is a misdemeanor traffic offense, according to state law.
The semitrailer carrying office supplies was traveling southbound on Interstate 25 near milepost 247 when it verged to the right side of the highway, hit a barrier, swerved back across the road and hit the median, state patrol officials said.
The semitrailer then continued over the median into the northbound lanes, striking another semitrailer carrying gasoline before it rolled onto its side, blocking both directions of Interstate 25.
