Denver deputy arrested on suspicion of menacing, stalking

Commerce City police arrested Brake in October after another driver told officers Brake threatened him with a Glock pistol during an argument while the two were trying to pass a truck on U.S. 2.

Brake, who was off-duty but wearing Denver police apparel, told officers he never unholstered the weapon. However, the victim described a red-tinted optical sight on the gun that was not visible while it was holstered.

Brake’s victim told officers that “he thought Jason Brake was going to shoot him during the incident.”

The police department did not immediately respond to an inquiry about Brake’s employment status.
