Applebee’s Pick 6 Mondays promotion includes free boneless wings
Whenever an NFL team gets a “pick 6” in the Sunday lineup, customers can redeem the award the following Monday with a minimum $10 purchase Applebee’s latest promotion plays heavy into its NFL partnership, offering customers the chance to earn six free boneless wings each Monday whenever a “pick 6” happens during any game the Sunday prior. A pick six is when the defense intercepts a pass from the offense and runs it back for a touchdown. Applebee’s Pick 6 Mondays start Oct. 6 and continue every Monday through the end of the NFL season. The offer is good for both dine-in and to-go orders with a minimum purchase of $10. “America’s Favorite Boneless Wings at Applebee’s are perfect for celebrating any and all occasions – like running an interception back for a touchdown,” chief marketing officer Joel Yashinsky said in a statement. “Every Sunday, all eyes will be on the NFL to see which team will unlock six free boneless wings for the country the following Monday, for both dine-in and to go.” Applebee’s boneless wings come with one of six sauces – Classic Buffalo, Honey BBQ, Sweet Asian Chile, Garlic Parmesan, Extra Hot Buffalo, or Honey Pepper – and are paired with a dipping sauce of guests’ choice of blue cheese or house-made buttermilk ranch dressing. Pick 6 Mondays mark the latest promotion from the brand to win back consumers as much of the industry continues to manage muted sales and negative traffic. Earlier in September, Applebee’s kicked off its NFL partnership with 50-cent boneless wings, for example, while also introducing new $10 NFL Bucket Cocktails. In late July, the chain brought back its all-you-can-eat boneless wings, riblets, and Double Crunch Shrimp. Applebee’s signed a multi-year partnership with the NFL in April to become the league’s “Official Grill + Bar.” As part of the agreement, the chain has a brand presence across the NFL calendar and has launched an integrated advertising campaign with Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell, Philadelphia Eagles running back and two-time Pro-Bowler Saquon Barkley, and San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy. Applebee’s is also offering customers a chance to win a trip for two to Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9 in New Orleans, as well as other prizes through the Club Applebee’s Super Bowl Sweepstakes, running now through Jan. 5.
